So when he found an address inside several bags of trash, he loaded them into his truck, drove 20 miles, and returned them to the house they came from. Is it petty? Absolutely. Do I kind of love it? China now has the problem where it doesn't have enough unrecycled garbage for all the waste-to-energy plant that came up recently. Ppl are digging up old buried trash & buying them. AI finds all the garbage w/ value & separate them. It does this job far more efficiently & better than human workers. Remaining trash is burnt up for power & sent them to flying ash treatment. Over time, waste separating center will be able to find use for greater % of waste -> less left for burning. All the old buried trash will eventually be used up. And then, China's overcapacity in trash treatment can finally result in some plant closures.

A homeless man showed me his portable heating unit. He took it with him when he wanted to go to the store because he was afraid somebody was gonna steal it. I have walked into convenience, stores in heavily concentrated Homeless areas and seen a few burning trash cans at the front door. They are hard to come by and very effective in heating an area, and therefore are a high theft item.
