One of the things I said I’d do when I had the money was use it to solve a problem that I had dealt with when I was starting out. For so many young chefs, it can cost upwards of 1m to get a space, rent dishes, cups, napkins and cutlery, hire staff etc. Oremi solves this probably by providing a fully equipped kitchen and dining room complete with service staff and kitchen staff. “He can’t hear or speak - how can he work in the kitchen?” Last month, someone I knew from my hometown sent me a CV, asking if he would be a fit in the RCP kitchen. His name was Vipin. Deaf-mute by birth, he was working as a staff cook in a hotel. I will be honest, I was concerned as to how he would fit in the hectic and fast pace of the kitchen. But something in me said otherwise. It was my heart. Without any hesitation, I called up my Head chef at RCP Kochi and asked him to set up a trial for Vipin - and guess what happened? The 25-year-old shocked everyone in the kitchen!❤ Committed, neat, disciplined and calm - it was as if it was second nature to him. Whatever we threw at him, he handled it with great poise and maturity. The very next day, he joined our family at RCP Kochi.💕 Today, he is a brother to the 30-odd chefs working in the kitchen. They cook together, smile together, strive together and learn together. When I met him, I only told him one thing: “As long as this restaurant exists, you can call this home.” I don’t know if he understood it or not, but he held my hands tightly and looked at me. The moment I saw his eyes, I knew. I knew my heart was right - this boy was special. Food has no language. 🇿🇦 Read and weep... its about time the truth starts coming out...‼️ "I am a contractor and I worked at the Medupi Power Station. I wish to add a few comments... "The working staff get the last day of each month off as well as half the previous day for pay day. "General workers arrive between eight and nine and start working on the new substations by ten. "Lunch starts at about 11:30 and finishes about 14:00 They leave at about 15:30 "These are the general workers pulling in new cables, moving panels etc. "So very little real work gets done because of the short working hours. "I was working in a substation. The air conditioning system was not working because the controller is the wrong type. It has taken four months to find a replacement. It was 40 degrees in the substation "The two main chimneys at Medupi have been built facing the wrong direction. They are 180 degrees the wrong way round. This means the pipework will all have to be changed. The efficiency of the blowers will be affected as the pipework is incorrect. "The management of staff is a mess. The staff sit and look at you if you ask them to do anything. They know that if they don’t like what you are asking, they can on strike and they have done it. So nobody messes with them. "The engineer who signed off the building of the chimneys the wrong way round has disappeared. There was insufficient management oversight. The wrong air conditioning unit in the substation was also due to lack of management. LUNCH "Apparently the “kitchen” or food contract is run by the local ANC mayor or leader. The workers are guaranteed a hot lunch every day. There is a central kitchen and mess. "Thus a worker who is an hour away from the kitchen, is transported in a little bus. His lunch hour only starts when he picks up the plate to be served. "So an hour lunch break lasts 2 or 3 hours in some sections. "When the workforce was on strike the lunch providers were paid full value – not just the profit section even though they were not supplying any meals. "The lunch contract has come up for review many times and every time the same person is awarded the contract despite better or other bids." Now this is just lunch.... Imagine the rest ?

‘Mocking’ was a polite word as you’ll find out when my 📕 is out …. I’m not a fan of Andrea - we did an amazing job managing her & making her a fortune (which she’s now lost) & she was totally ungrateful & deluded, left after a decade of us making her 250k a year, thought she could do better & didn’t even thank the office staff or send a card or a bunch of flowers etc for ten years of success. Then, well without us, we’ve seen how it ended up - however she’s a great presenter & was treated horrendously at Loose Women- more than she even knows - but she soon will - as I’ll be revealing what the bosses did to her via requests they filtered through me - absolutely disgusting & when fans know they’ll be gutted for her. Even though she stabbed us in the back - I can still be objective when it comes to fact - she deserved better and should still be hosting that show - but then again we all deserved to be treated better from all of them. #LooseWomen

Uber & bolt price gouge you everyday when there is high demand during "surge windows", so stop this dirty narrative that business owners in Nigeria are greedy. It's a mean campaign of calumny against these entrepreneurs who put their life savings and took unimaginable risks absent govt or local investments to provide services that are absent. When I travel to Ile-Ife and choose to stay in a hotel when there are events, the hotels are all sold out and it's amazing that a hotel that was priced N30k is increased to N60k. New Year's Eve in New York, the W Hotel Time square hotel rates are as high as $2,000 per night from $400-$550 on the average. If I can afford it knowing nothing else exist, I will say "let me have it". Those expensive lights, top notch Air-conditioning systems, lovely lounge seats and sound equipment were bought in USD. Diesel, well paid dancers, well dressed bouncers, waiters, bottle girls and cleaners in the bathroom that keep the premises looking superb are all part of the high costs. You can buy that Casamigos for N200k at the liquor store or pay N600k for that bottle inside a club in V.I! Choice is yours, you don't need to do premium detty December if your bank account isn't premium! It's business and nothing new in the tourism economy. Lagos business owners are providing services in an economy that is built to function with a bidding system. If you are not in demand and you increase prices, but eventually suffer low patronage after the holiday season, that's your wahala. When people increase prices, I reduce prices on my products at House of Lunettes. Reason why I am the #1 retailer of premium Sunglasses in Nigeria. If in doubt, come and find out at one of my stores! REBEL REBEL REALITY TOUR LIVE HD UPGRADE “Rebel Rebel how could they know, Hot tramp, I love you so...” As pointed out in previous posts, the shows on 22nd and 23rd of November 2003 at The Point in Dublin were recorded for A Reality Tour CD and DVD, and today’s video from those performances is the anthemic Rebel Rebel. In a 2010 interview with Mark Adams about the release, Bowie explained what helped get him through such a long tour... + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + MA: For somebody who had previously expressed a low boredom threshold when it came to touring, you made a very convincing job of having a complete blast on what, in terms of individual dates at least, became the longest tour of your career so far. What was it that changed to give you the mental stamina to undergo such a commitment…not to mention the physical stamina such a gruelling schedule must have demanded? DB: Increasing the set list to over fifty songs was a big help. In fact, I think it was near sixty. I've been unintentionally MIA trying to figure out what is next for me & I just wanted to share that I have retired my competitive gaming career. Although this was very difficult for me, I've found serenity in being able to close this chapter. Being a pro gamer is really the best job in the world. Don't take it for granted. When you fall in love with the craft, the dedication comes naturally and the desire to be the best never ever goes away. I spent 20 years of my life committed to this hobby that turned into the most unique experience and allowed me to live my dreams. I'm so grateful for all these moments & I wanted to put it out there so I could have this memory forever. From starting cs at age 9, to signing my first contract at 15, to building a legacy in CS with CLG, to playing on an international stage in 3 different games, to all the places I traveled that I would've never been able to & most importantly, to all the amazing staff and players I've worked with, thank you so so much <3
