Team Dominator has activated SUPERCELL WATER SPOUT MODE on Ishigaki, Japan with the outer bands of Typhoon #Bavi moving in! Check out the structure on this initial storm with possible water spout. Need to see the froth on the water to confirm. Typhoon Bavi has weakened a bit with dry air entrainment, but intensification before landfall on Ishigaki is still possible. 90 knot maximum sustained winds possible.

You gotta be kidding me with Super Typhoon #Bavi! This powerful tropical cyclone is forecast to continue intensifying through the WNW track toward Taiwan, and likely will impact the Sakishima Islands of southern Japan by Friday morning. This island of Ishigaki is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! We are not ruling out a detour back to Taiwan, but it appears Ishigaki is in the bulls eye of the track. Stay tuned #Dominator #stormchasing

Jaw-dropping satellite and radar imagery of Super Typhoon Bavi as it barrels toward the southern portion of the Mariana Islands, including Guam. Notice on radar the abundance of tornadic supercells in the western semicircle of the storm...this is quite unusual for a Northern Hemisphere tropical cyclone, as they're usually found in the eastern semicircle.
