English is literally the hottest programming language. It's absolutely crazy that you can build a complete product in plain English. I'm using Rocket in this video. This is a new app. You type what you want, and Rocket builds it for you. This is great if you want to build: • A landing page • A complete web application • A mobile app • A dashboard to showcase something • An internal tool to automate anything This is another example of how developers should become comfortable being copilots for AI agents (instead of using AI as a copilot). Some of the things I like about Rocket: 1. One-click deploy to Netlify (I use Netlify for all my projects) 2. GitHub integration 3. Supabase integration for your backend 4. Built-in support for Stripe 5. Built-in support for Resend 6. Google Analytics integration 7. Smart AI search with Perplexity 8. You can also integrate with GPT models, Gemini, and Claude 9. You can make visual edits by describing what you want 10. You can upload images and have Rocket implement them Best of all are the templates: They have a large library of templates that will help you get started. These templates will help you save money (because of fewer tokens), and you can modify them as you see fit. We now have a fully open-source coding agent that can compete with any proprietary solution out there: • 500+ available models • It doesn't train on your code • It doesn't charge a penny for tokens • It's open. You can change if you want. Kilo Code is the #1 app on OpenRouter right now, and the community is releasing new features on GitHub at rocket speed (about 20 releases in the last 30 days). I installed it in Visual Studio Code, but you can install it in pretty much any IDE. I need to spend more time with it, but here is a very interesting design choice: Most coding agents support two modes: an "agentic" mode for writing code and an "ask" mode for talking to the model without making any changes. Kilo Code supports 5 different modes: 1. Architect mode - Research, design, and planning 2. Debug mode - Problem solving and troubleshooting 3. Code mode - To write code. 4. Gemini for Android is here! This new app makes it easier to access Google's chatbot, powered by the Gemini Pro LLM, right from your Android device. You can ask Gemini a question by tapping the launcher icon or long-pressing the power button. Once invoked, the Gemini overlay lets you enter a text or text+image prompt. You can tap the camera icon to snap a photo or press the "add this screen" button to take a screenshot of the current page to include in your prompt. The Gemini app for Android is available on Google Play with support for English, but support for Korean and Japanese will be coming next week. While there won't be an app for iOS, iPhone users can access Gemini by opening the Google App and tapping the "Gemini" button up top. How can you long-press the power button to invoke Gemini if that gesture is handled by Google Assistant? The answer is that the Gemini Android app can replace Google Assistant as your default assistant if you want, meaning all the ways you'd normally invoke Google Assistant on your phone can instead invoke Gemini. Unfortunately, Gemini currently doesn't offer ALL the same functionality as Google Assistant and requires an active data connection, but more features will be added over time. There's also now a Gemini Advanced tier, which offers access to Google's most powerful Ultra 1.0 LLM. Memex is in public beta (again) We closed down our signups earlier this year when we launched Memex' collaboration features. Over the past 12 months we've been working hard to polish the product and if you haven't used Memex in a while you may want to try it again. How can you solve complex tasks using a Large Language Model? Here is a 2-minute introduction to everything you need to know to 10x the quality of your results. Let's talk about three techniques, in order of complexity, starting with the easiest one: • In-Context Learning • Indexing + In-Context Learning • Fine-tuning In-Context Learning The team that trained GPT-3 found something they couldn't explain: You can condition a model using examples of how you want it to behave. I included an example prompt in the attached video. You can "teach" the model how you want it to interpret questions, select the correct answers, and format the results by giving a few examples. You can also give specific knowledge to the model that will be helpful when formulating answers. We call this approach "grounding the model." There's another example in the video. Indexing + In-Context Learning Unfortunately, there is a limit to how much data you can include in a prompt. We call this the "context size." One version of GPT-4 supports a context of approximately 6,000 words, while the other supports 25,000 words. Although this sounds like a lot, many applications need more than that. Imagine you wrote a book and want to build an application to answer any questions about your story. What happens if your book is longer than the context? That's where Indexing comes in. Using a model, you can turn every book passage into an embedding. These are vectors, numbers that "encode" the passage's text. You can then store these embeddings in a particular database that supports fast retrieval of these vectors. You can then turn any question into an embedding and search the database for the list of passages that are similar to that query. Instead of using the entire book to ask the model, you can now use the relevant passages as in-context information, effectively working around the context size limitation. Fine-tuning Fine-tuning can give you an extra boost to get reliable outputs from your LLM. It is, however, the most complex approach on the list. There are different approaches to fine-tuning a model with your data. A popular technique is to process your data with your LLM and use the outputs to train a new classifier that solves your specific task. Notice that here you aren't modifying the LLM. Instead, you are chaining it with your trained classifier. Another approach is to modify the parameters of the LLM using your data. Think of this as "rewiring" the model in a way that solves your particular task. The results and costs will vary depending on how many layers you want to fine-tune from the original model. Many companies think that fine-tuning is the solution to their problems. In my experience, many will benefit from exploring the other two approaches. Information about tomorrow's launch of the #FM26 3d stadium megapack! First off, really freaking hyped for it, but it is also making me a bit nervous! Been a month in the making now and super cool to see it rolled out and well over beta, but for everyone is really different! Well, this post will contain info on how I roll it out tomorrow. Release time: So I have made the decision to launch the megapack at around 12:00 tomorrow Central European Time. Gives me a bit of time to get up, do final checks and that. Support: I will be streaming for the hours following on from that with the stream starting at about 11:30. I'll be there, probably making stadiums and providing support. I will also release a simultaneous video at 12:00 on my own YouTube channel. In that I will go over the process of installation, some customization you can have and how to do them, as well as chat about current challenges and planned features. Features: The pack features an initial 120 stadiums from (mostly) the top 5 European Leagues. Furthermore, there will be certain stadiums from South America in it for the first version. For more information, consult the google sheet in the follow up post below. It contains a custom made crowd system which has seen a significant performance boost causing nearly no stutters or lag, even on older hardware. The animations might look janky, but they will be worked on during post release support and updates. Bugs: Considering my level and skill in programming, it was only going to be natural that bugs would happen. I have not received any mention of either game breaking, save corrupting or other catastrophic errors. The bugs are relatively minor such as the position of the ball not always aligning or the referee and linesmen disappearing for some reason. Just like the animations of crowds, they will be ironed out over time. If you come across a bug, feel free to let me know, but do so respectfully please :D I also need to stress again, that it will not work on macbooks with apple silicon, and steam deck is still experimental. If you see it somewhere and they're charging for it, step away, (kindly) report it to me and I will take the required actions if need be. My mods will always be free in its core, with you having the option to send a donation if you wish to do so! - Will it work on #FM24? No. Plain and simple this will not work in FM24 due to the difference in game engine. - Do I need to start a new save? Nope! Fully compatible with your saves as well as match history. So if you won the final of the UEFA Champions League in your home stadium, you can replay it with your ground ;) this is also the case for saves from FM23 and FM24. Lastly, this has been a mammoth effort, but could not have been done without the support from everyone who has been involved. It's here! All power assets are now live on my GB Renewables Map ⚡ That's right, it's not just wind farms any more. Now you can see live and historic data for gas power plants, nuclear, grid batteries, biomass, pumped hydro and even a bit of solar. Wind farms are still the default for now, though you can enable as many or as few of the other fuel types and your selection will be remembered when you come back to the website. It's already live so go play for yourself here: There are numerous other updates as well: ⛔ Click the plug button to see a curtailment view, now including turn-up and a better visual representation of turn-down and turn-up actions ℹ️ Tooltips include loads more detail about fuel type and balancing actions ☢️ Each fuel type can be toggled using the map buttons 🧠 Map state is remembered when you reload or revisit the website ✨ Lots of new and under construction power assets are now on the map ↕️ Summary of balancing actions at the top of the map 🚦 Grid boundaries and constraints shown using a traffic light system And I'm only getting started! The Visual Studio Code insiders version that just shipped and will ship in the next few days will come with an insane amount of new capabilities. A few highlights: - You can now run sub-agents in parallel. Yes, really. I even attached a video. - Major UX improvements for sub agents, especially visible in the chat window - A new search tool wrapped as a sub-agent that iteratively runs multiple search tools: semantic_search, file_search, grep_search Which connects nicely to the point above: multiple searches running in parallel, efficiently and fast - Anthropic’s Message API is now enabled by default - You can choose the model for the cloud agent (three available, all premium) - Extended thinking support when using the Claude cloud agent This is part of the broader multi-vendor cloud support under AgentsHQ I wrote about a few weeks ago - Tasks sent to the background agent (basically the CLI tool) now always run in isolation, each with its own git worktree - In a multi-repo workspace, assigning a task to a cloud agent prompts you to choose the target repo Same behavior when opening an empty workspace with no repo - Support for building an external index for files not supported by GitHub’s default indexing - UI/UX improvements for starting new sessions and switching between local / background / cloud agents - Skills are now first-class citizens, just like prompt files, with better UX indicating when a skill is loaded - Improved API for dynamic contribution of prompt files New V2 includes skills as part of the model. Pewbeam is live 🎉 This was just a dream, a dream I didn’t even know was possible—but I decided to pursue it anyway. Today, that dream is now a reality. We have a desktop app (Windows and macOS—this weekend) that can do all of this and even more. Over the last six months, I’ve pushed myself and my team hard, and I’ve seen people become hopeful and genuinely blessed by this product. I’ve received strong support from pastors, church members, techies, and several media houses and reporters. It has been a great honor to spend myself on something worthwhile. We’ve built an AI-native presentation app that displays relevant scriptures on screen in under 80 ms, without needing a volunteer. We’re starting with scriptures, but we’re growing into a comprehensive presentation software, with slides launching next month. From testing Pewbeam in churches over the last four weeks, pastors have been able to focus on what matters instead of juggling or micromanaging the media team while preaching. Church members have been able to follow their pastor’s references in real time and take better notes. In the words of a member from one of the test churches: “Pewbeam changed the way I follow sermons in church completely.” This is the kind of impact I see Pewbeam having on people’s faith and on how church and worship are done. Pewbeam’s mission is to ensure the Church is not left behind in the AI era. We’re starting with this application, with many more to come in the next few months. We’ll keep working with stakeholders in the Christian faith, collect feedback, and build tools that better support discipleship. And unlike previous waves of technology, I believe we can be among the first movers in this AI revolution. With all that said, the final build of the app is ready, and we’re launching for public download on February 25, 2026. The app has a generous free tier for small churches and fellowships, and a paid plan (location-based pricing) that unlocks unlimited access to all features. Pewbeam is live 🎉 This was just a dream, a dream I didn’t even know was possible—but I decided to pursue it anyway. Today, that dream is now a reality. We have a desktop app (Windows and macOS—this weekend) that can do all of this and even more. Over the last six months, I’ve pushed myself and my team hard, and I’ve seen people become hopeful and genuinely blessed by this product. I’ve received strong support from pastors, church members, techies, and several media houses and reporters. It has been a great honor to spend myself on something worthwhile. We’ve built an AI-native presentation app that displays relevant scriptures on screen in under 80 ms, without needing a volunteer. We’re starting with scriptures, but we’re growing into a comprehensive presentation software, with slides launching next month. From testing Pewbeam in churches over the last four weeks, pastors have been able to focus on what matters instead of juggling or micromanaging the media team while preaching. Church members have been able to follow their pastor’s references in real time and take better notes. In the words of a member from one of the test churches: “Pewbeam changed the way I follow sermons in church completely.” This is the kind of impact I see Pewbeam having on people’s faith and on how church and worship are done. Pewbeam’s mission is to ensure the Church is not left behind in the AI era. We’re starting with this application, with many more to come in the next few months. We’ll keep working with stakeholders in the Christian faith, collect feedback, and build tools that better support discipleship. And unlike previous waves of technology, I believe we can be among the first movers in this AI revolution. With all that said, the final build of the app is ready, and we’re launching for public download on February 25, 2026. The app has a generous free tier for small churches and fellowships, and a paid plan (location-based pricing) that unlocks unlimited access to all features. My dear brother, I think you are either new to my platform or you have been living under a rock since the coup happened. I have addressed this issue many times. I supported the coup because, at the time, there was no alternative to the coup. The only alternative was the continued rule of Robert Mugabe, and nobody can honestly accuse me of not having opposed Robert Mugabe. The reason I say there was no other game in town is simple. If you did not know, the opposition did not just support the coup, senior opposition figures were involved in discussions and engagements with members of Lacoste, the ZANUPF faction led by Emmerson Mnangagwa and supported by the military. In fact, plans and discussions around removing Mugabe had been taking place as far back as 2016. Morgan Tsvangirai was in talks with Emmerson Mnangagwa, and at times Nelson Chamisa acted as an emissary. I have attached a video below which confirms exactly what I have been saying for years. The opposition leaders could not even bring themselves to call it a coup because they were not merely supporting it, they were actively mobilising their supporters to participate in the process. So what exactly did you expect me to support? Your argument essentially amounts to saying I should have supported Robert Mugabe. At that moment there were only two options, support the removal of Mugabe or support Mugabe himself. There was no independent opposition alternative because the opposition leadership had aligned itself with Mnangagwa’s faction. Ironically, Zimbabweans find themselves in a similar position today. There is no meaningful opposition alternative on the table. Many people see only two choices, support Emmerson Mnangagwa or support General Constantino Chiwenga. Some will choose one, while others will choose the other. Then, years later, people like you come back and attack citizens for having chosen one of the only options available to them. The real question is not why some citizens supported the coup. The real question is why Zimbabweans were placed in a situation where the only available choices were competing factions within ZANUPF. But that is an uncomfortable conversation for many people because it requires acknowledging that opposition leaders were not merely spectators to the events of 2017. They were participants. You do not want to acknowledge that because, like some Zimbabweans, you support personalities rather than ideas and principles. Anything that you think may tarnish the image of the personalities you support must be denied, ignored, or rewritten. Today you direct your criticism at me, yet you would never have the courage to ask the same questions of Nelson Chamisa who, unlike me, was directly involved in mobilising citizens in support of the coup. That double standard says far more about you than it does about me. In a society where ideas matter, the truth matters because it is the foundation and anchor of those ideas. But in a society where personalities matter, the truth becomes secondary. Narratives are manufactured, facts are distorted, and reality is reshaped to protect personalities from scrutiny. What I have posted here is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Whether people like it or not is irrelevant. Facts do not cease to exist simply because they are inconvenient, uncomfortable, or damaging to the reputations of those we admire. The problem with personality politics is that it demands loyalty to individuals rather than commitment to principles. As a result, truth becomes negotiable, history is rewritten, and inconvenient facts are dismissed in order to preserve carefully constructed myths. Truth should never be judged by who says it. It should be judged on whether it is true.
