And that's basically the... interest here is how do a small few rule the many forever without the many ever being able to complain or do anything about it. "Ultimately, this ruling system that they've been attempting to impose on, on people really around the world, because this is a global governance project at the end of the day, is, you know, using Big Tech tools in, in mass surveillance to basically create an entirely new way of life and system of living. "Part of that is to basically reduce the share of what the many, i.e., the 99% or whatever, have. So, you know, a lot of this, you know, became extremely, you know, unpopular. But also like people learned about it during the COVID era because of, you know, these groups like the World Economic Forum, which by the way, bills itself, is the premier promoter of public-private partnerships, that, you know, we need to not own our cars, we need to, rent them. And there should be autonomous fleets of Ubers that drive everyone around a specific radius. We shouldn't own homes. We should, you know, rent apartments and then share those apartments when we're not there and we leave, someone else can occupy the space. "These were all things, that were promoted under the guise, you know, of, of sustainability and other things at the time. But they're actively being, you know, designed and acted upon. "Actually one of the Columbus smart city initiatives that's connected to this Columbus partnership that that Wexner ran. He chaired it basically from 2001, I think, until 2021. So like 20 years, including when this was created. Columbus got a huge Department of Transportation grant from the government and also, you know, funding from private individuals, probably Wexner, but who knows, to to basically create a new system that in Columbus where private car ownership would not exist. "It would be fleets of, you know, smart cars, autonomous cars that drive people around. And so if you lose private car ownership, you can't really control where you go. And so these cars would determine, you know, would. Would have specific routes that you could, you know, pay to use and what have you. "And, interestingly enough, this was actually a goal for the entire United States, described in this by this national Security Commission on AI which was chaired by Eric Schmidt of Google and had a lot of these same Big Tech guys, who's who are have major roles at companies with New Albany data centers. "They basically said that in order for the US they said to beat China in AI it was necessary to end private car ownership in the United States and instead have autonomous, you know, Waymos, basically, drive every, fleets of them, Uber everybody around to where they were supposed to go and have things you know, sort of planned out by AI. Like where people are going, where people are working and all of this. "So the Technocracy Inc. model that you highlighted earlier, you know it was really influenced by things like Taylorism and a lot of these schools of thought that came out of the Industrial revolution that prioritize efficiency above all else. You know, having the trains run on time and all of that stuff being you know the kind of obsession of of these people in that particular era. Wenders: "As we very often had to “translate” the angels’ point of view, so to speak, we were extremely keen on moving the camera as much as possible. In the absence of Steadicam equipment we worked a lot on tracks, with dollies, cranes, jib-arms etc. But we also built ourselves devices so we could move through the air from one house to the next, for instance, and we shot the opening sequence on a helicopter, which was highly difficult in West Berlin at the time, as there were no private companies flying, just the Allies with their respective army pilots. We ended up shooting with a British pilot in an army helicopter without a proper camera mount. Today, you would do these things with gyroscopes and such. Blocking has always been my department. Henri [Alekan] kept out of it completely, and I did it with his operator, Agnès Godard. I have done shot lists for complicated sets, but usually I decide on location in the morning how we design the shots. I prefer to see the actors rehearse it, before I commit to any blocking. Camera moves weren’t the real challenge, though, for finding the angels’ points of view. It dawned on me early on that our camera had to do a more complex job. I told it to Henri. “Those angels have a very loving look at us humans. We have to find a way to teach our camera to look more lovingly.” Henri just stared at me as if I was out of my mind. “How do we do that?” Well, I didn’t know of course. But I figured we had to invest more care and love ourselves into every shot that represented what the angels saw. And that’s it, in the end. A camera can reflect on what you invest into its act of seeing. That sounds pretty lofty, I guess. But it does rub off, I tell you, if you try to imagine how angels would look at us. But the national security state takes advantage of these types of things pretty consistently, consistently to put for greater control. "And so...you brought up hate speech laws in California, presumably coming from the left. There's been a lot of questionable, rhetoric from the right after the Kirk assassination, talking about hate speech as well. And so ultimately, you know, where does that take us? To a place where there's a lot more censorship than people would want. "Censorship was a big political issue, last election cycle, you know, really big, for certain, you know, demographics. And so to have sort of the idea that hate speech is going to be potentially embraced by both sides, I definitely don't see that as a good thing. And also, you know, some of the stuff that has come out in the, in the aftermath of this assassination has been this, what I would call a renewed push to upstart the war on domestic terror, which people have to keep in mind. "There's a long history to that. And so a lot of times when people get really emotionally sucked in, to things they kind of are focusing very much on, like, the present and the recent. Whereas, you know, the domestic terror infrastructure is something that's been steadily developed by every administration ever since 9/11. "Because remember, in the post 9/11 environment, that's how we got the Department of Homeland Security. And right before 9/11, they introduced legislation to basically make DHS, but under a different name. And there wasn't a lot of support for it until conveniently after 9/11, when a lot of legislation that was liberty curbing was pushed through. The Patriot act being the most well known, but also the creation of DHS and numerous other laws, and ultimately a lot of the war on terror infrastructure was always meant to be used domestically at some point, which is why you have a lot of those same things launching, you know, at the same time in the early 2000s. "And so...every administration since then, from Bush to Obama and then Trump the first time around, and Biden, they have all expanded the domestic terror infrastructure and apparatus. And if you actually look at the definition of how the government defines domestic terrorism, which is actually put out by the Biden administration, but it's been supported. I haven't seen them change, to the best of my knowledge, the definition since Trump came in, but it includes people really on both sides of the divide. People that are against perceived government overreach, for example, can be defined as domestic terrorists. And then people who are against all forms of capitalism, for example, and that was Biden that put that out. But that could include potentially you're against stakeholder capitalism of the World Economic Forum, for example, and some of the, and it's a pretty wide, wide reaching thing, unfortunately. "And...governments tend to use kind of these vague definitions and use them to their advantage whenever they want. So they're kind of, they give themselves a lot of wiggle room so they can label whoever they want a domestic terrorist. And so, you know, Antifa has now been labeled a domestic terror organization. And I would look at them as something you know, sort of like probably most likely very Fed infiltrated in the same way that like Patriot Front and like even the proud boys had feds or like informants like at the very top of the, of the structure and things like that. "This is how the national security state operates when it wants to justify bigger budgets, more control and a removal of our liberties. And this has been going on since the 1980s with Operation Gladio. When they developed the strategy of tension. They were, the CIA and intelligence agencies basically were funding terrorism against civilians in Europe and then they were blamed on on left leaning groups and they specifically were going after civilians. And it was a CIA plan really to prevent regimes that they deemed as aligned with the Soviets potentially, but not even actually just like left wing parties. They wanted to push Europe politically in a particular direction or towards particular candidates. "They...were financing terrorism and they were doing that with like the mob in the Vatican. I mean it was a very. But I mean it's a documented thing. So you know, call me a conspiracy person all you want, which of course people like to do.
