Liverpool couldn't cope with him CF second half at Anfield. Mikel moving him there while 0-2 down proves that he knows that he's his best striker. It was an important result because of the loss to PSG midweek. He's pretty much impossible to fully isolate up top.

Shock as Martinelli performs at his best in central areas. If arteta is aware of this, why hasn't he done it more often this season? Trossard martinelli saka/nwaneri was right there and it didnt happen once. Arteta always makes changes when its too late, been going on 5 years

If we end up selling Martinelli, which I’m massively against, whoever buys him are getting the deal of the window. We will get a pathetic fee and the club will play him centrally and laugh

Ah yes the very important game where Liverpool had already won the league and been on holiday 😂

I genuinely don’t think that arteta platforms any of the players to their strengths bar the cbs and raya

This is exactly why he played his best football when Jesus was fit, because Jesus would often drop deep or drift wide which would allow Martinelli to occupy the central spaces where he does the most damage

@luwakay0de He’s not a wide playmaker/Winger. Like most South American forwards, he’s a natural SS, a role that barely exists today. So they adapt: CF – Jesus, Cunha, J Pedro Winger – Neymar, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Nelli 8/10 hybrid – Álvarez, Coutinho, Dybala. Miscast, not washed.

Martinelli CF shouts? I am awake!

He will bag 25 league goals from cf if we sign a good creator

I’d read nothing into Liverpool performances after the spurs game were were on the piss for 4 weeks lad
