Making US companies pay tariffs for using foreign products means they’ll start buying the same products from US. Ultimately making it cheaper because they won’t be able to afford to buy from china. Counter argument: They would keep buying from china, paying the tariffs. Making their products more expensive for the average US citizen. Both could happen. I’m leaning on the side of companies using US products because it’s cheaper for everyone. Companies would pay slightly more for US products but would save money by not paying the tariffs.

I don’t understand why this is so difficult for people to grasp. We only “pay the tariffs” if we buy those goods. The ENTIRE point is to DISCOURAGE people from buying Chinese goods by making them more expensive - thereby encourage china to play fairly

Let me explain how tariffs benefit the net economy: 1. Gradually introduce tariffs (over course of 2 years across varying industries) 2. Automate via AI and humanoid robots + customized robotics(why especially reintroducing tariffs now makes sense) actual manufacturing 3. Move public jobs to private sector so can eliminate income tax (with AI and tech why now makes sense) 4. Aggressively cut annual federal budget by 60-70% NOW WE WIN!!! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 Americans have manufacturing, AI and robotics at home. We also have cheaper goods AND!!! we can even start exporting goods we commonly bought from China BECAUSE!!! We now make it cheaper than anywhere else 🤯 🤯

Fat dude thought he was allowed to eat with that. Paying the tariff allows companies to sell more of their products in USA. Companies aren’t going to pay 5 for each item, tariffs incentivize countries to stay in the United States, which makes sense when we lost a lot after Covid

Well we are in massive debt to china maybe we want more stuff saying “made in the USA” instead of “made in china” let alone we have trade agreements so just because it’s taxed from china doesn’t mean it will taxed from Taiwan.
