A man stood up to the mob, and when asked his name, replied: "Mera naam Mohammad Deepak" (My name is Mohammad Deepak). While his act won many hearts online, he is facing brickbats back home. Some boys came to the shop and started misbehaving with the shopkeeper over the shop's name. I asked them to stop misbehaving, but they replied that in their religion, the word "Baba" is only used for Sidhbali Baba, and for no one else, and that the shopkeeper would have to change the shop's name. The shopkeeper refused, and the argument escalated into a Hindu-Muslim issue. The boys were from the Bajrang Dal, and the shop belonged to a Muslim. Uttrakhand CM Dhami spoke on Mohammad Deepak issue. He said that some people are using Mohammed name,why are you putting Mohammad before your name? Don't do such Politics Instead of condemning Bajrang dal for harassing muslim and attacking Deepak, he is blaming Deepak for standing up for the helpless man. Classic case of Shoot the Massenger.
