honestly the UX on most location apps feels like it was designed in 2015 and never updated

The friend map is back :) Location by amo is the app that puts your friends on the map — from checking in on your crew to making moves to meetup. Brought to you by the original team behind location-sharing app Zenly. • See where your friends are right now, in real time. • Check their status, like how long they've been there and battery level. • Get directions to them in one tap or via your favorite ride-sharing apps. • Communicate on the go with super sends (show some love, knock to get their attention). Then enjoy the night without the stress of your battery running low — Location is the most battery-friendly location app ever built! On amo, your profile, friendships, feed, and settings are shared across the apps. Trying a new amo app takes no time at all as your info (and your friends!) are already waiting for you.

Your phone apps might contain secret spyware. Shady shell companies pay developers to add hidden code, turning weather apps into surveillance tools. Govts & data brokers track your location, Wi-Fi data—even scan WhatsApp folders. Do you know what your phone is doing?

Most apps and decentralised systems rely on location data. The problem? It's incredibly easy to fake. Your phone can lie. Nodes can pretend they're global but sit in one basement. That's where XYO comes in by using IoT and cryptography to prove location 👇

Also sharing another project I maintain: A catalog of native PS5 homebrew apps. Open source, and anyone can submit their app. P.S. Some apps are added automatically. If yours is listed and you don't want it there, let me know. #PS5Homebrew #PS5

Secretary Noem sounded the alarm on ICE tracking apps months ago. Now, these apps that paint a target on law enforcement helped plan the attack on the Dallas field office. These apps, and the media who is gleefully advertising them, represent an existential threat to our agents. It’s no different than giving a hitman the location of their intended target.

Just launched: screenshot sharing on Poe for iOS. From the share feature, choose "Share privately", and then use "Share screenshot" instead of "Share link." Screenshots can be more convenient for sharing on social media or messaging apps than links!
