does the z-motion created w/ the planar tracker create z-data in After Effects (on a camera or null) or does it only work for exports for C4D? I'm trying to determine how useful the 3D data is for an AE artist that is allergic to C4D

It actually does! Test it in the free trial, which exports the first 30 frames of the track. It translates everything over to the Ae 3D space.

This tool is just what I need to combine with AI Animations, sure you can get super cool results. amazing tool!
