JB Pritzker says he hopes the Trump administration doesn’t send National Guard troops, along with ICE and other federal agents, to Chicago in the coming weeks as part of its crackdown on crime, but if it does, “they'll be in court pretty quickly,” he warns. “That is illegal,” Pritzker argues. “National Guard troops, any kind of troops on the streets of an American city, don't belong unless there is an insurrection, unless there is truly an emergency. There is not.“
