loki clone management 101:

not mentioned here but also another reason you should have your clones spread out in a “triangle” is to escape via teleport to behind your team. if you’re out of cooldowns with your Lokis NEXT to you, you have screwed yourself over

keep in mind this is basic intro to ideally how you want to place them. I can go more into the nuances of managing these in a game at a later time. the triangle isn’t always perfect- this is for faster output + better escape and avoiding mk cluster hits

Damn I thought the Triangle method was a given. Used that since Season 0. it just never made sense placing them all in a line or single area. More dispersed more opportunity to swap to a different clone if you get dove, heal a team mate from a different position, etc.

High effort with low reward? No way, Loki has the highest reward out of every supp for his utility and what he can do vs every comp

except when you have an invis or a cloak which can do quicker/better heals without having to deal with clones. they also have scapegoats against big ults (fade/shield) although they are not as foolproof as loki lanterns. it’s just lesser effort for a similar return

The difference is what loki lamps provide protection from over invis shield/cloak fade, for example starlord and psylocke ults don't track/target lamps so you won't die to them as easily vs wih invis shield/cloak fade

game has been out for a year and six months and people are NOW figuring out you can make triangle shapes with Loki oh lord

Triangles was always the play for me. And only dabbled with loki here and there

I was actually playing Loki today which I never do and I did this (cause I didn’t know what I was doing) and I was thinking how if they had a moonknight I’d get beat in I’m glad it’s not just me😭

Loki so hard to play I barely got my knife kill challenge this season😭😭I always place a clone behind the enemy midfight because alotta people dont turn in fights. Placing one behind allows me to damage behind shields as well as get heals to my team. I leave 1 behind to tp out

Genuinely fr and yet he’s probably going to get nerfed again next update I guarantee you, Loki should be the best healer just because how much effort you have to put in Clones count as EXTRA TEAMMATES, even I low rank lobbies EVERYONE kills clones immediately.

Was fighting a Loki a couple of days ago and he was so dam good. Like his greens were perfect and his escaping was top tier, like trying to get him was dam near impossible. Helped I was like the only one trying to put pressure on him but it’s hard as solo tank
