This lady is correct at the end. If you put in time off several weeks in advance and the manager still schedules you for those days then that means the manager is too stupid to do their job.

Why are you applying for that job that requires weekends if you can't work weekends? Any kind of retail or restaurant has the busiest times on the weekends.

I really hate agreeing with one of these weirdos. She's right though. If someone has time off approved weeks in advance, they shouldn't be scheduled at the last minute to work those days. And they shouldn't show up if they are. That manager is someone who can't do her own job & is not cut out for management.
