Haven’t played ball in YEARRRRSSS so both are way better than me butttttttttt with the little experience I do have. Way easier to start glove down then go up with the hop. Volpe is stabbing at the ball, just bad mechanics 🤷‍♂️

This is a very easy answer. And I’ve been saying it for a long time. Anthony Volpe has risen to his level of competence, which is a AAA level shortstop. This is not a knock on him, it just is what it is. He is not a major league caliber talent. And that’s it. It’s simple. George is @mlb ready and has risen to the level of a major leaguer and it shows. Already.
