All my grandparents had been born by then, my Nan had even bought & rode a motorcycle by then I just love these images. Colour just brings them alive. It’s lovely seeing images that my grandparents & great grandparents would have seen in person. Makes me feel closer to them ❤️

0:42 looks like view to Parliament Hill. 1.07 is from top of Parliament Hill looking north east: green dome of St Joseph's and chimney at Whittington Hospital. Almost totally unchanged (there's a pond at the base of the hill) tho' there are now fewer children and lots more dogs.

I think modern London has always been tranquil and beautiful if you are super rich... The reality for most Londoners.

Very interesting to think how the same places will have looked in 1963, 1993 and now, 2023.
