@AbhinandanSekhr Some good points, but it suffers from overbreadth, not in least part because Abhinandan is squarely of that cloth too.

Initially i met moderate liberals who criticized the gov, right wing & other things. I too agreed & identified as a liberal. Then I met an extreme liberal and felt the same as talking to a right extremists. That day I realised, not every educated person is sensible & right.

“Abhinandan is from Doon School. He himself said that he got a break at NDTV due to Prannoy Roy, who is also from the same school.”

😄

Interesting, but I have a concern. The repeated usage of the word 'f**k' could have been avoided.

This is so so on point. There is a certain privilege in there and worse, a contempt for those they consider to be “sub standard” or “bad.” Rather snooty. I think it was this contempt that spurred the really hostile reaction to them from the right.

Has the Lutyens Elite not now changed completely? Is it not the case that today's Lutyen's Elite comprises Arnab, @RShivshankar, @navikakumar OpIndia, @_pallavighosh, @sudhirchaudhary and all the others that @MnshaP lampoons regularly on #TVNewsance ?

@meenakandasamy Personally, I’d use the f**** word less. But apart from that, yes.

Sahi bol raha hai.

Listened to this gem of a section repeatedly on the podcast. It's not easy to be critical of the "liberal media" while being frequently considered to be one. Your work is worth every rupee of my subscription money! 💥
