This man was criticized for expecting a “thank you” for a good deed. He always saw the same man walking when he drove to work. In class I had asked him where he lived, and I found out it was on my way home so I offered to drop him off because it was really cold out and had snowed about a foot. He agreed and we chatted on the way home, nothing serious just pleasant conversation. I dropped him off and went on my way home. For me this was a one time thing, I only offered because how bad it was snowing. After class the next day, he walked with me and when I got to my car he got in. I didn’t agree or offer him a ride that day but he assumed that since I was ok with giving him a ride the day prior that I would be ok with it this day too. I didn’t say anything about it because at this point I didn’t care really. So the next day came and went, once again he walked with me to the car but that day was different. I wouldn’t be going his way because I had to work after class. So before I got to the car I said “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He looked dumbfounded and said aren’t you taking me home? I said no, I have to get to work. He then asked me how he would get home, and I told him the same way you always have. He then gave me excuses for why I was being a jerk because I was making him walk in the cold. Normally broken dogs come into my life and after a few months with us I am just like everybody else following their lives on Instagram. Today was already the highlight of my year as I got to see Bob! This happened 5 years ago today. Idol had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and we were living day to day. I was sitting on the porch drinking coffee on this particular morning and saw something out of the corner of my eye. There was a little bird borrowing some fur from Idol to build his nest. Sometimes I just miss my dad. Wish I could give him my truck or give him a little cash. Dear Everyone, The last few days have been hell. Losing Kiyo has not been easy and I’m not ok. Kiyo gave me the best time of my life. The level of joy you brought into my word and any space he was able to exist in was incomparable. Kiyo was my lover, my best friend, and my truth. He truly saw me for who I was and I saw him for who he was. I didn’t just love him, I believed in him, prayed for his victory. I cared for him. Who would have thought that bringing back a piece of Tupperware would invite me into the world of the purest, kindest soul in the world. Kiyo would do anything for anyone. He was my hero and I was his. We both kept our capes on for each other whenever we needed to save the other person. I am grateful that I got to experience a love like his. I am grateful I got to spend some of the best moments of my life with him. I am grateful that even I grieve I still feel his warmth and care. Kiyo taught me be more patient and understanding and no matter how we came into this world and no matter how bad the world treated us, it doesn’t give us the right to exact that same unkindness to others. He loves animals, anime, a good meal, Steven Universe, a really inappropriate joke, and you never had to guess how he felt about you. As he was goofy he was charming. I still feel his hands interlocked into mine and he was fearless. He loved like no other man I have met in this world could. The first night we reconnected he gave my cat Patrick the middle name Bayard. He gave me first Christmas full of love and laughs. The first man in my life to actually pay attention to me and surprise me with gifts that he knew I would love and were true to who I was as a nerd. Anytime I could get it, I was with him. He had full access to my home and my heart. To Mike and Rico thank you for always being there for him and caring for him, Mike you coming into town in March really lit him up. First time I got to dance with him. Rico thank you for taking him to there museum. He loved every moment of it. All he could do was rave about how much made his day. To Tony, his wife and his gaming community on Destiny 2, thank you for being patient with my baby and giving him space to be man that he was and to his Dad and his brothers. So many people tagged me yesterday about this young man who had made a placard with my name at Archives. Today while I was in the CBD on official duty. I found him still standing at the same spot with the same placard and took time to engage him in a conversation. I asked him why he chose that approach, especially knowing that some people might misunderstand his intentions or view it negatively. He honestly told me that he chose that direction because he understands Kenyans controversy trends fast, and he believed it was the quickest way to get his message to reach me. He clarified that he is a straight young man with a girlfriend and simply wanted an opportunity to speak to me and see how his life could change. When I asked how I could help, he humbly said he only wished for two things: to take him and his girlfriend out for a Valentine’s dinner and, more importantly, to enroll in college to pursue an ICT course and build his future. His honesty and determination touched me. I promised to support his education, and today I took him to ICS College for sponsorship. I’m happy to share that he will now be enrolled and given a chance to pursue his dream in ICT. Sometimes all someone needs is not money, not fame just an opportunity and someone who believes in them.

He honestly told me that he chose that direction because he understands Kenyans controversy trends fast, and he believed it was the quickest way to get his message to reach me. He clarified that he is a straight young man with a girlfriend and simply wanted an opportunity to speak to me and see how his life could change. When I asked how I could help, he humbly said he only wished for two things: to take him and his girlfriend out for a Valentine’s dinner and, more importantly, to enroll in college to pursue an ICT course and build his future. His honesty and determination touched me. I promised to support his education, and today I took him to ICS College for sponsorship. I’m happy to share that he will now be enrolled and given a chance to pursue his dream in ICT. Sometimes all someone needs is not money, not fame just an opportunity and someone who believes in them.

When I woke up this morning, Mister didn’t want to get out of bed. I figured he was just exhausted from our fun and exciting day yesterday. But when he still didn’t get up and come do his usual morning routine by the time I’d made coffee, I started getting a little concerned. VERY unusual for him. He’s usually so energetic and excited to go do our morning gardening together, etc. So I got him out of bed and brought him to the livingroom and sat him on the couch with me. He was acting really strange and super lethargic, just curled up in a ball, and his little body kept spasming and twitching. When I tried to stand him up, his little lags just wouldn’t seem to work. So I knew something just wasn’t right with him. 😢 I called the vet and rushed him to Thompson Falls. As the vet was asking me all the questions, before she took him back to examine him, she said, “I have to ask you a hard question; CPR, or do not resuscitate?” Holy cow, that’s when I lost it and just started crying. I said, “Yes, of course resuscitate!” 😭 So then with so much fear and anxiety, thinking the absolute worst, I waited, while they did some blood tests and x-rays, etc. It was at that point that I asked y’all for prayers. I was so freaking scared and sick to my stomach. Mister had to get an IV and some medicines, as it appears he was having some gastrointestinal issues, which was making him not drink any water. So basically he’s a little blocked up and gassy. (Which is what was causing the spasming) And I feel just awful, because it’s most likely from me giving him basically whatever he wants to eat. 😢 (as well as from him eating small parts of his toys.) 🫤 So we have some medicines for him to take for 4 days, and hopefully he will be back to his sweet, mischievous self in no time. 🤞🏼 So after an unexpected $500 veterinary visit 😣, he is still very tired and lethargic, but the spasming is gone, and he seems to be on the mend. 🙏🏼 We basically just need him to have a good💩now. And after spending the whole day at the doggy doctor, we’re gonna take it real easy for the rest of the evening and just cuddle together and watch some puppy shows on the animal channel. 🥹 Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my sweet little guy. 🙏🏼 I’d be absolutely devastated without him. 🥲♥️
