🕧 Longer school hours. ➕ More maths. 💨 Cracking down on vaping. That’s what the wise year 5 & 6 children at Freshwater and Yarmouth C of E Primary School in the Isle of Wight want to see. And is what Rishi Sunak and the government will deliver.

@RishiSunak I asked my Year 6 and they said they’d like to see you have a bare knuckle fight with a bear. Please advise when this will be happening.

@RishiSunak You’ll both listen to a room of 10/11 year olds but not the entire nation of teachers crying out for more funding and support.

@RishiSunak lol who’s gonna be teaching for these extra hours and more maths when all the teachers have left because they’re sick of being treated like 💩 thoughts gill

@RishiSunak When my youngest was in Year 6 the following was wanted above all these "no sats" Since you haven't done this I pressume the majority of kids and teachers are not wise?

@educationgovuk @RishiSunak There's no way primary school children are thinking about banning vaping. I guarantee the teacher has brainstormed ideas before the MP arrives and has thrown this one in. And how does more math create a love for learning?

@RishiSunak Primary curriculum is too full. We need to do less, better. Take stuff out like Roman numerals and spend longer on really embedding. I doubt they ask for longer school hours and at this age are not exposed to vaping

@RishiSunak Longer school hours? I look forward to reading information about the new pay and conditions for teachers, support staff and other workers in schools.

@RishiSunak That is so rehearsed. If you came to our primary our kids would ask for no more SATS, better dinners and more playtime

@RishiSunak When did any schoolchild EVER want longer school hours and more maths? 🤦 I do think they'd prefer their school to be properly funded, and not likely to have the roof collapse without warning.

@RishiSunak So we are basing education policy on the voices of three students from one school? Well I suppose that’s another version of bubble politics. Is it too much to hope you could actually consult some real experts-like teachers?
