The old is just so much better

I prefer the new Netherrack over the old one. Sure, the old Netherrack is iconic, bur it always hurt my eyes looking at it. The new one is lot easier on my eyes. A lot cleaner too.

I may be crazy but I swear the old netherrak that looked like ground up meat and bones had a squishy sound when walked on and mined

I actually like the new textures. I like the variations added to the ore blocks. I like not having my eyes hurt while looking at netherrack. I like glass being more see-through because they removed some of the lines. The old textures were really chaotic looking.

I miss the old ores, lava and neither rack the most

okay, but thank god they updated netherrack, cuz the old one is quite bad in my opinion

The only good change is the nether rack, and the quartz, and prob the glowstone as well.

Why I hardly ever play modern MC. Its cheesy never how the game was intended. Under Microsoft authorization servers are consistently down, support is non existent, and their always steeling mod ideas killing the community and giving them no credit.
