Working all day to go home and have 2/4 hours of free time before bed is bullshit. 5-7 day work week is bullshit. Working yourself to death is bullshit. Retiring at 65 (unlikely) is bullshit. Starting your adult life in debt from student loans is bullshit. Giving kids 7 hours of school and then homework to ready them for the neverending grind is bullshit. All week we’ve been sharing photos of some of our incredible staff to bring the person behind the uniform to life and the dangerous work they do. Our firefighters have loved your support and we know so many of you are shocked that we have to remind people not to attack them. But, as this recent clip shows, it’s a real issue 😔 A crew from Manchester Central attended a fire recently and as they pulled up fireworks were thrown at them. 👀 👇You can see on our engine CCTV footage how close they go off to our staff. It’s #BangOutOfOrder 😡 we won’t tolerate it. Good people of Greater Manchester, we know you’re all better than this, call this behaviour out, speak to your children about it and support all emergency workers so they can do their vital job free from attack ❤️🚒🚓🚑

Why can’t our classrooms look like our governors office? Fulani headsmen have driven most children and teachers from coming to school.
