Agree. Im 50 is been driving for over 30 years. Something is wrong in our culture, I do not think, it's just me getting older and naturally more cautious personally. There's a lack of awareness of other's not only needs, but of their very presence. Seen it on I 25, and separately on NJ Turnpike -- the midwest is a bit better, the farther north you go, it's better I think, but the problem is very real. That does not bode well.

I'm shocked by how frequently I'll have drivers of a certain age laying on their phones and getting angry if they don't think I accelerated fast enough at a stop light or am glancing at my phone to change a song/navigation destination.

@RobertGauss5 I was once honked at for stopping at a stop sign, the enraged driver behind me shouted “Go”. Better than getting popped for a rolling stop tho hahh

@AKBrews No win situation. You beat someone up even if they deserved it, you may well be charged. You lose a "fight" with a guy with a gun, which are everywhere, it's worse. No-win situation. It takes meditation and dedication.

@AKBrews It really is a spot in modern life where there is no winning. There's only "getting by" Ending up furious all the time isn't good for you either. Best you can hope for is to die in your sleep, and not in an Ax or getting shot on the road, right.

@AKBrews I wills say, Northern Wi and Minnesota and North Dakota are notably better, some parts of New England, are places where the people aren't as stressed, and are farmers generally. Those highways are safer, and not just because they are less crowded, I think it's cultural.

Update - apparently he gets 5 years of probation. Our justice system is broken -

Are we seeing the impacts of Covid on people’s brains?! People seem to be losing impulse control or reason. I’m really afraid for my 15 yr old granddaughter who will start driving soon.

COVID and the political climate for the last 20 years, I bet.

This is video of premeditated attempted homicide.

What was the endgame here? In his mind how was he thinking this situation would play out?

This guy should be charged to the full extent of the law.

Bonus: the guy nearly got away with just a ticket for an improper lane change until the video went viral and the trooper got reprimanded for failing to investigate

"I hAvE tO gEt ThErE 15 sEcOnDs fAsTeR tHaN I nOrMaLlY wOuLd" This kind of driver is all over the place

Just back off and let the guy pass you.

I see 2 of them. Both contributed

Trump supporters are terrible drivers. 🤷♂️

Pickup driver eventually plead guilty to two felonies and was sentenced to two years of probation and restitution.

Attempted murder

This mind set I have seen on divided highway driving situations. In this case, the truck driver did not see that there were at least 3-4 cars ahead of the car in front of him and he was trying to bully his way around this car to make him back off, so he could move up and do the same thing to the driver(s) ahead. This type of extreme aggressive driving needs to be clamped down on as it is life threatening when the situation "escalates" to a road rage incident created by the trucker. I've seen where if the trucker was in an emergency situation he could have slapped on his E-FLASHERS and hit the should to pass on the right, which is illegal as well, but if true emergency "might" be justified, but still all is risky driving and putting the public at risk!

Even when I slow down in my semi to let people pass they still get in front of me and slow down block off etc. People won't stop trying to control others and until they do the courts will decide for them.

He should be charged with attempted murder. That is what could have happened. It looks like that’s what he intended.

Looks deliberate. Any follow-up?

Dude what the hell is wrong with people anymore Mental health in America has to be at an all time low

I let everybody get in front of me in the freeway. As long as no one has an accident, we'll all get to where we are going eventually.

sadly, without the video the guy would have said I had room & the dude in the left lane cut me off...

Looks like 2 Jack asses to me, one more culpable than the other. Though I must admit, I’ve tailgated like that when someone wanted to cut in.

@libertynow2011 Attempted murderer

We saw a lot of this on our trip to California. Excessively aggressive drivers, often in trucks.

Can't see the Trump stickers on the red truck

@brianoloughlin9 Typical lifted truck jackass

@Ciprian_COSMA_ I see two jackasses

He gets off w/a ticket & fine?? 😡Wtf? Almost killed ppl, incl the child in his back seat. Sick. 🤬This is 1 reason we need "Star Chambers"...(maybe I'm too old for most ppl to get that reference 🤔)

they're both stupid idiots, the driver in the car has more to lose than the big truck trying to go ahead of him, he should have just let the idiot go in front of him and the crash wouldn't have happened, being in that I'll teach you a lesson mode can be deadly

"OHP said they've seen a sharp increase in road rage incidents over the past eight months." Covid affects the brain especially impulsivity....I bet road rage is worse everywhere post covid vs pre covid.

The first time you notice someone acting squirrely on the road, back way off. He almost hit them and they were like yeah I'm just going to keep ass riding the car in front and box myself in. Nah, people are crazy, high, drunk, give it 20 car lengths and live another day.

@PeteMossmulch

I wonder who he voted for. Just asking questions

Just make sure law enforcement gets that footage...

Where is a cop when you need one?
