Simple explanation

Adi didn’t write shit for Castlevania, he’s a producer who doesn’t seemingly contribute much and doesn’t correct anyone thinking he spearheaded the show. There are so many interviews of him being asked what he did for the show and he literally can’t answer…

It's sadly very fitting that Castlevania died with Dracula.

This single scene with the demon and the bishop stole the show IMO. "Lies, in your house of god? No wonder he has abandoned you"

Nothing about this scene contradicts Dracula as a character and instead builds upon its logical conclusion. Dracula is a wife guy. Him loving his wife to the point where it drove him mad was always a part of his character. So fighting his son, in the room he and his wife built

He didn't write it. That's why we got reallly good lines and moments. The "THERE ARE NO INNOCENTS, NO ANYMORE" line is a line stuck with me. The direction and voice acting was really good.

Warren Ellis wrote the two best seasons of Castlevania, and Adi Shankar took advantage of the fact that he was MeToo’d out of the industry in order to take credit for his work and use it as a springboard to take creative control of other projects

I will can't forgive them for making Hector a cuck.

It got spent on Season 3 Issac. Brother season 3 Issac....... That shit was fucking SHAKESPEAREAN

They fired Warren Ellis because some stupid bitch metoo him

The guy is "natural" when it comes to the whole "church is bad" thing, so it was fit for Alucard's story as well as adapting Trevor without much trouble, however he ruined Maria and other characters later on, not to mention the whole retarded "vampires hate geometry" BS.

there are still things i have beef with the castlevania netflix series too the exclusion of a pirate left out Grant Dynasty because it doesn't make sense to be inland MOTHER FUCKER YOU HAVE A TELEPORTING 60 STORY CLOCKWORK CASTLE and a viking vampire sailing on snow

Between Death's lines being written like he's a 5 year old that just learned swears and the unnecessary (and failed) effort to write Christianity out ("vampires brains just can't handle right angles lol"), the writing was always spotty at best.

They were made by different people before Adi did a hostile takeover.

The head writer was a mild sex pest and got ran out. Rest of his script became a vanity project for others.

Well the problem was they continued after getting rid of the castle and not bringing it back.

That’s the good half of Warren Ellis’ writing, then when treavor speaks you hear the shit part

From everything I’ve heard Adi wasn’t involved in the creation of the first 2 seasons of Castlevania other than somehow being involved in getting it on Netflix. This really great video I watched recently talks about it.

Castlevania lost its original writer after I think season 3 because he got exposed as a sex pest. Also DMC is just less of a serious setting than Castlevania. I mean Vergil in DMC 3/5 kills a ton of people and gets away with it.

He got caught by the Fame and possibly the money. I think.

i was once accused of having internalized homophobia for saying that Alucard shouldn't be a bottom the people who liked netflix voltron really latched onto this dogshit for some reason

I will give them that the best parts of season 3 and 4 is Issac. Curse of Darkness Issac was a pretty generic "obsessed cultist". But at point it's a completely different show

Oh so now were just acting like The rest of Castlevania wasnt good? lord have mercy yall need help.

They realized they ran out of Castlevania III material after season 2. But instead of doing Curse of Darkness, they just adapted fanfiction. And no, I am not exaggerating.

To this day the moment he says "my boy" my heart breaks and I start to cry What a brilliant voice actor Graham McTavish is

The director couldn’t keep his hate boner for God and the Church hidden away anymore.

Wait wait, why we switching up on Castlevania? What happen? I thought it was good???

i thought isaac had a well written arc but thats just me

I literally told you what happened.

I won't take it from you if you like it, but I personally feel about the Castlevania anime like the DMC fans feel about the DMC anime. It just does not understand the spirit or tone of the games at all.

Turning Dracula into a simp who fell for the first woman who walked through his door? Then weeps and cries in his last moments. The bar is in hell

To be fair there was also a conversation about fucking a goat
