Look at what Vatican II did [in 1931].

When Pope Pius XII declared Our Lady of Guadalupe the "Empress of the Americas" Throughout this entire pre-Vatican II period, the Dance of the Concheros were standard, officially accepted elements of the pilgrimages to Our Lady.

This traditional dance has been a standard part of the devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe since the 16th century. Modern "trads" see something they do not like and think "Vatican II!!" when in reality inculturation is as old as the faith itself.

For the record, whether what you see in the opening post is good or not is a different question as to whether it was caused by Vatican II. It appears there were critical voices regarding it going back to the beginning. My point here was less that it is good and more that people should stop blaming Vatican II for everything they do not like.
