A Fine Gael councillor stated that anyone who spoiled their vote last week in the presidential election, shouldn’t get state benefits. This is a ridiculous statement to make, assuming only those on benefits spoiled votes, secondly, he’s not hiding the fact that he believes that government should have control over people by cutting benefits if they don’t vote the way they want them to. Not a good look for FG or FF (as they are effectively the same party)
