I have ALL of these here. I never knew that Jewel Weed would neutralize stinging nettle! This would’ve been helpful last week when I bumped into it & had stinging welts all over my hand & forearm. 😩 Thanks so much for sharing! 🙌🥰

I didn’t know that either. Saving for future use. 😁

At first I watched this because I thought it was a funny anecdote about my four daughters who travel in a pack and they are very dangerous lol

I followed this advice and I died

Wow ok y’all are going to toss hate at me. I’ve lived in the PNW for almost 20 years and I had no clue what poison ivy looked like. Thank you 😊 for this post.

We are blessed to have all this on our property as well and I always remember: "Five let them thrive, three let them be". God is amazing!

I didn't know and this is very helpful. Thank you.

I'm allergic to Virginia Creeper... it's has taken over areas of my garden and it's a war situation to remove it.

Oh that sucks! I have faith that you’ll win that war.

Thank you! Waiting on the heat wave to move.

🤣

I wish I would have known all this in 1986, when a nurse friend pulled my pants down behind a hospital and sat my bare behind on a bush of stinging nettles. I was violated by a plant & broke out in hives, slept straight 9 hrs & woke up covered in Calamine lotion. Never lived that down.

God bless. I’m 100% certain I would be covered in poison ivy if I tried this.

Great video. Something tells me I'll miss remember and end up in pain though.

I thought she was talking about my uncle for a moment. We also called him the Virginia creeper.

Don't forget artemesia and day lily; they also help with poison ivy. Plantain leaves neutralize bee stings.

I seen some garlic mustard in there too. Good in soups. Calling them 3 or 4 sisters confuses people. The three sisters are squash corn and beans.

Thank you for sharing this wisdom in nature.

I'm going to look for it today. It looks like she's in MY garden.

We have all those on the back fence 😭 where the squirrels like to play but found out poison ivy doesn’t affect squirrels like it does us.

Thanks for this info! I’m in the woods daily and I’m used to seeing all of these plants but didn’t know what they were except the poison Ivy and Virginia Creeper which grows everywhere.

Just trying to understand God’s purpose for poison ivy/oak and stinging nettles?? 🤦♀️

I’m not going near that patch. Poison ivy and I don’t like each other. 🤣

My Cherokee granny taught me that when I was a kid… Probably the same as yours

Jewelweed does more than neutralize poison ivy...it cures it fast AFTER blisters form. Boil some down & make a dark orange liquid, apply it to your blisters & it will be gone within three days...I've done it many times & it really does work!

Great to know. I get sumac and poison ivy really bad

We used to teach the kids: If its 3, let it be If its shiny, watch your hiney. 3 shiny leaves mean bad news in forests.

Growing up in Ireland we used to neutralize stinging nettle with (Bur)Dock leaves as it grows close to nettles over there.

You’re yellow

Jewel weed has such a pretty flower too

Nature (when left alone) is amazing

All grow in my yard🫢

I just showed these to an AT through hiker whose legs were big bitten and itchy. Jewel weed helps ease mosquito bites too.

Thanks

I thank God all the time that I’m immune. I used to have to tell the boys all the time, “do not follow my path through the woods”

Where can I find this lady YouTube. Or does she have a Twitter account.

God’s plan is amazing🙏🏻

I thought the jewel leaves were baby pecan trees getting started.

God is good
