This is literally the tamest thing she could do by the end of the show. I don't think anything could top blood bending in terms of pure lethality (for water benders)

It’s an example of how competence can be terrifying. Katara could have left a body riddled full of holes, and she didn’t. She made a choice not to, and Zuko may have done it for her if asked but he bore witness to her skill and her moral fortitude.
