Parts feeders are awesome. Ours operates like a carnival ride - spinning around fast enough to force everything up against the wall. An air jet triggered by an optical camera blows off any parts not facing the correct direction. It may seem "wasteful" to see so many parts blown off the track, but the feeder can run at over 400 parts per minute while the machine getting fed tops out at roughly 200 parts per minute, so the feeder is almost always outpacing the machine by a wide margin. In many cases even parts facing the CORRECT direction get blown off to prevent the machine from being fed too quickly. Manufacturing tech is cool.
