Nursing unions are as worthless as teacher's unions. Nurses make good money and have no issues that require a union. This is a hospital rich country.

They decided to strike, the bargaining agreement resulted in the hospital hiring temporary fill-ins on a 5-day contract. Pretty simple really. Should’ve cared more about caring for their patients than striking

This post is so loaded and I am so on the fence. On one hand have you ever been in the hospital and have had a nurse be kind and caring while you were there?. if it happens its rare. I have zero issue with you striking and possibly getting better working conditions but if it back fires, please don't think you can stand outside and scream and think you can get your way. Now hospitals wow they breed the culture where nurses never get a god damn break. My wife used to come home having never eaten anything after a 10 hours shift, wtf... probably why they are never nice to you.

The patients didn't matter when you went on strike but they matter now. Sounds like your principles changed.

Im a man. I was a paramedic in the military. If you were a medic you know your basicaly and underpaid unlicensed nurse. Its not a hard job. Its just labeled a hard job because its mostly women that do it and all hey do is bitch about it. Its really that simple. Some states they are massively over paid. Some states its just right and some states its abysmal.

I said this on another post, and I’ll say it here too. This bugs the shit out of me. They got up and walked out on their patients over money and benefits. The hospital had to bring other people in to take care of those patients while they were gone. Now that the contract is signed, they’re trying to frame it like this was all about patient care. Please. Enjoy your long weekend. See you Monday. And apparently, don’t expect them to thank the people who stayed behind and took care of the patients while they were out.
