Los Angeles homeless .. What's your thoughts? 🤔💭

The US is the worlds biggest and richest third world country. And it is by design.

I think Australia should start learning from the destructive mistakes of the US instead of continually attempting to copy them in one way or another. I’m talking to you IPA, Howard & Co and all lovers of neoliberalism regardless of your leanings.

A country that needs to spend less on wars and more towards its citizens. Shameful for a rich country.

Aspirational Aussies seem to want this too, voting for cruelty. Remember, doubling down on the already demonstratedly cruel RoboDebt was an LNP election promise. People voted for it!

A young indigenous couple have set up camp in the park in my street - been there about a month . . . I am on greeting terms with them when I walk my dog . . . Glad they have not been moved on yet . . (There is little to rent in Cairns and there is no way they would get an offer)

My first visit to Russia was Novosibirsk, Siberia. Me: “Where are the homeless?” “Everyone has somewhere to stay”. “What about the drunks?” We know who they are - we take care of them”. (Just my experience.)

Homes & shelter shouldn't be a commodity. The system is broken yet no amount of human suffering seems to be enough for us to actually attempt change

US fails it’s poor and vulnerable. Endlessly.

My opinion of the state of homeless people anywhere is that the government of countries that have substantial amounts of homeless have effectively failed as government.
