If you separate the personalities from the policies, I don't think concerns about migration levels are inherently racist. A society becomes attractive because of the values, institutions and culture it has built. Yet the more successful that society becomes, the greater the pressure of immigration will change the very things that made it attractive in the first place. The real debate should be about capacity, integration and long term national interests, rather than assuming every discussion about immigration is motivated by prejudice.

Does that mean Lucy is suggesting that she isn’t fond of her family heritage of Croatian culture?!! If so then she needs to confirm that and declare herself to be detached from all Croatian cultural activities.
