i know from watching analyses of the film that there are layers of symbolic logic at play here but like to watch these movies as if this is all happening and its all evil magic

David Lynch films are magic tricks for the unconscious

What I like about scene is that as eerie and supernatural it seems, the whole thing could have just been a regular trick performed by a magician who happened to be at the party.
