Love the stop ✋🏻, like that will do anything 🙄 Those who need this, study this video carefully and next time when close to a big truck you decide where you wanna be. 😉

That video was probably done for educational purposes and if they don’t exaggerate a bit no one will pay attention, besides, that’s a small straight truck, a semi is 3 times that length. Found some old photos of how it actually looks. Sides are pretty much covered when straight. When turning, use better judgement and don’t stand next to a big semi 🤷‍♂️. For the front, I have no way of seeing if something is there. It’s around 6ft high, so a normal size person could be standing like 3-4ft away and I still wouldn’t see him. Don’t stand in front of a big semi 🤷‍♂️.

@MemeMesmer @ClownWorld_ Why can't he see the sides of the truck in the mirror?!? That is poor mirror adjustment, IMO.

@MemeMesmer @ClownWorld_ Uhhhhhhh. I mean I could do that in a smart car if I deliberately put the mirrors at the worst angle.

@MemeMesmer @ClownWorld_ As a kid I recall the police would bring a mobile unit of a little town to our school to teach us how to cross the street safely. We were told when crossing an intersection to always get off the bike and walk it across. And if there is a blind side to a vehicle to let it pass.

@MemeMesmer @ClownWorld_ truck needs a different design if it is such a danger to all the people and things around it.

@MemeMesmer @ClownWorld_ That truck needs better mirrors I had mirrors on the front corner of my truck and could get close enough to another truck that a nat wouldn't fit between us. They were called cat eyes you see them on school buses.

@MemeMesmer @ClownWorld_ Misleading video cause you should always see your own vehicle a small bit in your own mirror as a spacial reference.

@MemeMesmer @ClownWorld_ I'm a heavy equipment operator. CAT has a video just like this for a wheel loader. It's stunning just how many blind spots there are in big rigs and equipment. Always! Have to be on point driving.

Yup, it’s ultimately the truckers fault. The bicycle was in his blind spot but didn’t magically appear there, trucker should have seen him approaching. The cyclist on the other hand, you’d expect some common sense and good survival instinct as to like not go in front of a big truck that is clearly on the move and merging busy traffic 🤷‍♂️ The hand signal is what gets me the most, you truck must ✋🏻, I’m pedaling here 😑 He should count his blessings and hopefully learned that the truck always wins.
