love this visualization how map projections distort the globe (share with the kids!)

I'd lose the outline. It doesn't represent anything that exists, and distracts from the distortions in the real things that are represented.

It's missing something: A visualization of the difference when you don't take the UK as the center of the map.

Why did they leave out the two main ones, Mercator and Great Circle?

Note that they’re all centered on the Atlantic … maybe the Pacific is too large, too far away?
