I was 24 years old the first time my dad told me he loved me. I made sure I didn't make that same mistake. To this day, and it's been almost half a century, every time I see or talk to my sons I tell them I love them.

I agree with you. I didn't have boys - two lovely girls who are my joy. But I know what I admired about my father was the way in which he accepted responsibility for his family, his appearance, his tools, etc. His respect for me came just before his death (cancer) but I cherish that day and have emulated his behavior in my own life.

Finally someone who understands that men and women are different because Mother Nature made us that way, and it's ok, there are no reasons for us to fight it.

Respect your sons by telling them the truth....
