Loved how Texas Tech NT Lee Hunter’s face lit up when asked about going to the Falcons: “It’s (Atlanta) close to my hometown (Mobile), I enjoy that” Could not have spoken more highly of Butkus Award winning LB Jacob Rodriguez; inspired him to watch way more film this past year

Last year I answered the question what if I could charge 4x more and work half as much. Have the courage to chill out No one is going to pay you more than a old tried richer version of yourself in the future Ultra this ultra that why not Ultra watch the sunset and enjoy your life and savor the mundane frictions of living life. We are approaching the singularity and when they upload your life to the cloud it’s going to be 32mega bytes of life experience and a 819gb sessions.json file.

Great example of Alex Vlasic working to be more offensive this season. Last year he would have dumped this puck in, but now he skates in the zone and feeds Bertuzzi for a chance. I asked him about plays like these this morning: "I think I have some offensive ability to my game. I need to jump up in the play [and] continue to get that offensive side out of my game..."

Last week, I marked my birthday in a simple way—but it left me with a powerful reminder. I may not have abundance, but I have enough to make a difference in someone’s life. Giving isn’t about how much we have; it’s about the heart behind what we share. Sometimes it’s a meal, a kind word, a small gift, or even just showing up for someone who feels forgotten. Those “little” things can mean everything to someone in need. This past week opened my eyes again: generosity is not reserved for the wealthy. It belongs to anyone willing to care. As I step into this new year of my life, I’m choosing to be more intentional—giving what I can, when I can, and trusting that even the smallest act of kindness carries great value. If each of us does a little, together we can create something truly meaningful. Let’s keep giving, no matter how small. 💛

[🎬] #SEONGHWA Jinju City IG ⭐️: ATINY, there’s a really beautiful festival taking place in my hometown, Jinju. I heard that this year it’s being held as an even more special global festival, so I’d really love it if you could come to Jinju and enjoy the festival. Got it?

In general, I really enjoy awards season every year, but this year, knowing that Jennifer Lawrence could have been there and didn’t make it, I feel like I hate it all and don’t want to watch absolutely anything related to the Oscars and all this s*hit. It’s the first year of my life that I don’t plan on watching any ceremony. This is my little strike for leaving this queen out.

I retired my dad and I get to watch him live the days I always wanted him to. I watched him work 3 jobs my entire life, he loved my mother unconditionally till the day she passed, he stepped up and raised us alone and taught me how to be a man. This is what life is about, showing appreciation and doing for those that have done for you. God is good.

I told my 65 year old father NOT TO GO to the Pudgy Pop up! My parents live in NYC, I asked them about the pop-up to see how close it is. Turns out it's 50 minutes and 2 train rides away. I'm not gonna put him through that journey. Saturday night, he calls me up & sends me this video In the video, he says: "This is very very very incredible. So very! It's very beautiful!" I share this to say this is a 65 Yr old man who knows nothing about this world except what I share with him. He went to casually pick up an item & surprise us, waited in line, & got the warmest treatment from the team. Walked out with the Pudgy Bouquet for us and the Pax & Polly keychains for him and my mom (jealous) and stories he could not stop talking about The phone call was literally him just going on and on about the vibe, the staff, the smiles, the people and everything in between. My dad went to his first Pudgy event before I did & I'm happy for it! Thank you Pudgy Penguins for putting a smile on my old man's face and getting him to feel the Pudgy experience IRL. We proliferate one small memorable experience at a time. How are you playing your part?

Lamine Yamal, in an interview, was asked by a reporter what he and FIFA president Gianni Infantino were talking about. He revealed that he asked him if he had a chance of winning The Best FIFA Men’s Player award and potentially the Ballon d’Or, but was told that it was between him and Messi. Reporter 🎤: “Hello Lamine, once again congratulations on winning the World Cup. We saw a picture of you and Gianni talking. What was it about?” Lamine Yamal 🗣️: “He just congratulated me for winning the World Cup, so I asked him, now that I’ve won the World Cup and the league, would I have a chance to win The Best FIFA Men’s Player award? But he smiled and told me it’s going to be hard and that it’s between me and Messi because Leo had a good World Cup.”

I could not have asked for a better ending to my hater arc. Someone sent me this clip of KateKomi ajaxing and losing the game for Team Italy which resulted in them being eliminated. While it’s upsetting that OWWC ITA ignores myself and other women who speak out against their player(s), at least we don’t have to worry about them being brought to Blizzcon this year :)

Two people who deserve some credit are Joe Biden and Ron DeSantis. President Joe Biden will head to Florida on Saturday after parts of the state were hit hard by Hurricane Idalia, after he has spoken repeatedly with Governor DeSantis. Biden joked that he should put DeSantis “on direct dial” because of how frequently they have had to speak. Biden also praised DeSantis, saying “I think he trusts my judgment and my desire to help, and I trust him to be able to suggest that this is not about politics, it’s about taking care of the people of the state.” Don't you wish that politics in America could be more like this all of the time? Don't you wish people on the other side of the aisle would give credit where credit is due no matter what party they belong to?

The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

Infants use every tool in their toolbox to mimic their most trusted caregivers. This little one, shared to FB by Kristen Humphrey, is an amazing example. Listen to how close he comes to saying “I love you” back to his dad. How does he do it? The answer is using both sight and sound. Watch how carefully he’s studying his father’s face, using not only the cadence and sound of dad’s words but the subtle movements of his mouth to help inform his own try. And wow does he ever come close! This is how so much learning begins for infants: up close and face to face - which makes it particularly important that you carve out time to interact directly with your baby. Not just in proximity. Not in the presence of a screen. But eye to eye and face to face. It’s where the magic happens.

Hard not to love this job when you get to create work like this with founders every day. I don’t know how to do it any other way than all in. That means pushing past scope. Spending extra time on the detail no one asked for. Perfecting the one element that elevates everything else. Sometimes it means I lose in margins but in reality, it’s the reason the next client shows up. Work you’re genuinely proud of doesn’t just ship… it compounds.

We all smoke our way, for now I have mastered the art of the glass tip cone style. It’s not a specialty roll by any means, but it’s consistent for me. I don’t have the fine hand coordination nor the patience to fuck up a hand roll when I can do this pretty easily and it smokes as proper as a good hand roll. When I have more time away from serving, I’ll practice hand rolling but this is how I smoke.
