![Abbas Araghchi, Iranian foreign minister, after the fifth round of Iran-US talks: - The fifth round of negotiations were held today in Rome. I can say it was one of the most professional rounds of negotiations that we have had so far. - We one more time stated the Islamic Republic of Iran's positions and principles with respect to the negotiations. Our stances are completely clear and we stand steadfast on them. - I think that now there is a better and more clear understanding of our stances on the American side. - Mr. Busaidi, the respected foreign minister of Oman, tried in this round to present solutions that the existing obstacles can be solved and it is possible to move forward. We discussed different ideas. He had different ideas. - It was decided that more technical work will be done on these ideas by both sides. They will be transmitted to the capitals. Without any obligations on either side. - We will study and analyze these new proposals that can probably open the way - while keeping the principles and stances of the Islamic Republic of Iran. - It was decided that both sides will bring forward their ideas about these proposals and solutions and then the next round of negotiations will be arranged and take place. - I hope that in the next round, if these solutions are accepted by both sides in their capitals we can enter the details. [Reporter: So can we say the file of the indirect negotiations is still open and talks will continue and questions will be answered until we see what the wills say?] - Yes. Look the negotiations are more complicated than can be solved in 2 or 3 sessions. The fact that we are right now on a rational path is in my opinion progress. - I hope that in the next one or two sessions, given the better understanding of the Islamic Republic of Iran's stances that now exist, we can reach solutions that can bring about progress in the talks. Peter Skafish - Peter Skafish: "Whether [disclosure is] two years from now, or five years from now, or ten years from now... And I know a lot of people in the UAP community will, you know, would slump over if it's going to be ten years. But, you know whatever the time frame, you're going to have direct acknowledgement from the U.S. government. You're going to have media, more importantly, asking hard questions at some point." (I agree. The media will wake up, at SOME point. But will I be alive to see it? 😵 ) skafish: "I would say where we are with this is, we're in a place... Let's say this: we're in a process that is moving too quickly for my comfort, and it really should give people pause. Are we really ready for disclosure? Depends on what disclosure is. (FYI, Peter is REALLY tuned into what's going on and is part of Professor Avi Loeb's UAP advisory council. Later in this interview he says he KNOWS the crash retrieval program is real. I'm not sure how he could KNOW that unless he saw it in person. At least that's how I see it with the word KNOW. He also said that if the idea of disclosure (credits Greer) means, "the President would have a fireside conversation or press conference and say that aliens, in the sense of extraterrestrials, are real, that they are engaged in...that they constitute some kind of presence here; that Roswell happened; and that the intelligence community knows about it? "If that's what we mean by disclosure, I think that people should temper their expectations about what it would ACTUALLY look like. Which is...it probably would be a pretty minimal acknowledgement, followed by a statement that we're seeking more answers on this. And I think that would actually satisfy a lot of media. I think it would also involve what we're seeing right now, which is a declassification process. Now, on that point - I hate to say this - people should REALLY temper their expectations."
