This was how they hooked me. Went to a renn faire, saw the fencing school. They put a helmet on me and hit me with an axe. Really hard. to demonstrate the armor's effectiveness. I spent the next 5 years with those wonderful folks. Gained lifelong friends, skills, and confidence.

When I was in the field in my Army days a couple of us dumbasses invented a game called "mountain goats" where you charge headfirst at one another with your ACH on. I'm amazed I can still count to 10.
