Lucas Patrick vs. Washington

I rewatched the all 22 this morning and I thought Patrick played at a B level but the fan narratives are set. I think he could be good depth.

Everybody wants to trash Lucas Patrick, but the tape tell us story that he’s doing better than the X narrative

He’s fine. The fans can’t be saved. Someone somewhere told them this wasn’t going to work. And here we are.

Not terrible. He just doesn’t play thru the whistle like you would like to see.

We hate him because of the Bengals process. If he’s here in the back up role, we’re all fine with it. But their ignorance leads us to anger with the player. We should always remember it’s the Bengals front office. They suck!!!

I’m not a scout, but this looks like some average plus tape. Not an all pro by any stretch, but other than the one clip in the internet marking him for immediate cut, I do t understand all the hate

As of right now he is the starting Right Guard. If they bring in Dalton Risner maybe he eventually becomes a backup for all 3 interior spots. He hasn't played awful but obviously we would all like to see a bit more consistency at that spot this year.
