That’s exactly how I feel about it. There may well be a need for change in light of developments in the wider cricket world, but some people in authority seem more interested in name calling than building bridges and making rational arguments to explain why change might be needed

Agree unfortunately the type of language being used does not inspire trust and confidence in the new generation of test ground county CEOs the vibe I’m getting is this …they know the price of everything and the value of nothing, we have to be very careful with their proposal.

On the mark as always David. Building trust is proving difficult at times. The frustration on both sides is real. Change is hard.

Many of those in authority seem to regard counties and members with something bordering on contempt. They would be quite happy to be rid of us so they can have a bright shiny urban based game sponsored by crisp manufacturers...

Couldn’t agree more; terms like “Luddite” are lazy shut-down generalisations that broker no meaningful dialogue - completely pointless and the cricket community ought to be better than this!!!

Strauss review catalyst and Strauss review would have reduced matches? Which fan/member - of any sport - would've supported that? Can you imagine season ticket holders at a premier league football club actively supporting cutting of their season?

Well said 👍 Sadly, people often resort to name calling when they've nothing intelligent to say, no ability to back up an argument, or want to shut down debate. Just look at Trump! @TelegraphSport @MattersCounty

Sadly typical of today is to name call people when they do not agree with you - agree David proper discussion is needed ! 👍🤔🏏
