Harvard astrophysicist and UAP Advisory Council leader responds to Ukrainian researchers claiming evidence of a possible UFO base on the Moon. Their non peer reviewed study reports more than 20 objects near and across the Moon in 2025, one moving at 4.1 miles per second and another allegedly measuring about 25 miles across, with flashing light patterns interpreted as communication. Loeb notes NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter holds extensive surface data and Artemis 2 astronauts captured thousands of images of the Moon, including the far side, with no sign of such activity. He explains that without distance measurements, atmospheric effects or nearby objects can easily mimic the observations. Multiple telescopes observing the same object from different locations would allow triangulation to confirm or rule out a lunar distance. He adds that his Galileo Project uses this approach and recently resolved a Pentagon UAP case as a hypersonic missile by matching terrain features in the imagery.
