Luffy's first encounter with Blackbeard

Easily, EASILY, my favorite moment in one piece, I will always applaud Oda on how he introduced blackbeard, no flashiness, no big scene, just a simple interaction with luffy, showing why they are two sides of the same coin

Later they reveal Blackbeard thought Luffy was lying about his bounty because he thought Luffy was way stronger for a mere 30M bounty. And he was right.

Oda really knows how to make us remember Blackbeard by this scene 😭👍🏻

Luffy’s casual first meeting with his archnemesis

But, I like cherry pie. Am I Black Beard?

Sun and moon ? Or sun and emptiness of space ?

I like this

I love this. Luffy is the chillest dude on the planet and will give just about anyone a chance. He tried to recruit a zombie. Not a cruel bone in his rubber body. But with Blackbeard, it’s on sight. He knew, on instinct, he’d have to put this guy in the dirt.

Sun God meets the King of the Darkness

Teach vs Luffy... two sides of the D.

The first hint from Oda that the last fight is not between Luffy and Mo but between Luffy and Blackbeard they are completely the opposite of each other, one wants to rule the world (Blackbeard) and one wants to free the world (Luffy)

Foreshadowing at peak’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥

It truly shocked me when I found out that this was blackbears . It's a very interesting way to introduce one of the major villains

Hard

黒ひげ？｢もっと食わせろ｣

I'm glad that he actually has a beard now, because this really bothered me.

🤣😭

味覚どうこうの話やのに急にオメエ頭おかしいんじゃねえのか？は悪口のレベルおかしくね？

Reminder that Blackbeard said his bounty number was a lie because he thought it was too LOW. And he was correct, luffy didn’t have the updated number.
