@RadarBoxCom If he’s been a pilot until retirement age, then I think he probably knows what he’s doing, knows every inch of the aircraft and is totally aware of its capabilities. Therefore all the twitter nerds should probably pipe down

@RadarBoxCom If Lufthansa trusted him with an A380 I expect he has enough hours in 4 engine wide body jets to know what is safe to do. He didn’t do it without mentioning it to his crew and passengers.

@RadarBoxCom I’ve been on a Lufthansa flight where the pilot is retiring, before take off the flight attendants explain what’s going to happen over PA so the passengers don’t feel uncomfortable. This is totally fine.

@RadarBoxCom Take off from north runway in Dublin Airport, sometimes aircraft commences turn immediately after rotation to avoid overflying houses where the occupants have been complaining about noise.
