Needs more consistent ABs. Can’t develop properly without them. No offense to Yaz, but Matos has a chance to be a piece next season and beyond. Maybe Matos can shake things up if in there enough. DH him and let Flores have time at first when not in OF.

It's a forever issue for not superstar prospects. You get intermittent playing time and then everybody judges you on that inconsistent PT. Some guys shine regardless, but many struggle. But unless you're in rebuilding mode, which the Giants refuse to do, there's no other option.

He’s gotta outplay Yaz to take his spot. Period. The team is good this year and Yaz is a reason why. Also, Yaz is the longest tenured Giant on the team and that matters.
