She said their talks started on Friday evening, lasted for six and a half hours and touched upon the issues of American and European sanctions regarding Belarus, the conflicts in Ukraine and in the Middle East, and the relations of Belarus with Russia and China. The press-secretary added that Lukashenko pardoned 14 prisoners in response to the request of the US President. Mostly they are foreigners: 2 citizens of Japan, 3 Polish citizens, 2 Latvian citizens, and citizens of Estonia, Sweden and the United States. Several citizens of Belarus were also on the list.
