The ground floor of the pub comprised a spacious lounge bar with the original bar fixture and many original items including mirrors and an 1888 Anderson of Dublin clock in perfect working order. It was a favourite for expectant fathers, situated opposite the Rotunda Maternity Hospital. It was used to film some scenes from The Snapper.
