You got lucky you were stopped in a Canadian airport. Had you made it to Texas and got caught with a vape, it’d have been much worse for ya. At least you still have a chance to get back in the US. In Texas, that would have been a state felony and you’d likely not step foot on US soil ever again, unless to do jail time. There are always drug sniffing dogs in the international baggage pickup area. Sometimes they walk around, but are almost always near the exit where everyone has to walk past the dog. Texas will be the very last state to accept marijuana. It’s ridiculous how much effort the state and local government puts into creating and enforcing drug laws on it. Such a waste that would be better spent elsewhere.
