That’s number one in anything you do. Being a coach now and kind of going back to when I was playing, I understand from a coach’s perspective why my coaches were the way they were on me. There’s a lot of moving parts, like what they think of Kurtis Rourke, is certainly one part of it. Kyle Shanahan explains how struggling in Washington ultimately removed his ego from coaching, and says it changed the why behind why he wanted to do it “When you go through some of that stuff, you realize you don’t need to label anything whether it’s good or bad. It’s just an experience. You want to coach or you’re not.” “That’s what was hard when you’re younger. You expect it to all be good, and you’re looking at my dad’s legacy and stuff that used to mean a lot to me growing up.” “Then you get into it and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, that stuff can all be ruined.’ There’s a whole other reason why I want to do this. It isn’t about that.” “Let me just let that go. I really actually love football. I actually like coaching, and I do want to adjust and figure this stuff out.
