Was there ever a better birthday breakfast that the one John Candy created in "Uncle Buck"?

34 years ago on this very day 16 August 1989 we met 'Uncle Buck' for the very first time. John Candy was brilliant in the movie. It's truly is an 80s classic.

John Candy was 43 when he died. Macaulay Culkin is now 44. Gaby Hoffmann is 42. ❤️

I don't think THE GOOD SON (1993) gets enough credit for how unsettling it is. Macaulay Culkin's Henry is charming enough to make you wonder how long it’ll take everyone to realize something is seriously wrong with this kid!

Uncle Buck is John Hughes’ best movie. Not Ferris Bueller. Not Breakfast Club. This one. Because every family has that one relative who’s a walking disaster but pure heart. 🎬🎥 Uncle Buck ❤️🔥

Breakfast with the wonderful John Candy, who sadly passed this day in 1994. This scene from "Uncle Buck", oh, makes us wish we all had someone celebrate our birthday like this... how missed he is, and how our world is a lot less fun without him...

Uncle Buck (1989) proved John Candy could turn chaos into comedy gold. The drill interrogation was fully improvised, and Hughes told the crew to just keep rolling. Bug’s nervous reaction was real — Candy’s ad-libbing genuinely rattled him.
