Our Machilipatnam MP Shri Vallabhaneni Balashowry raised this question yesterday in Lok Sabha, and replying to it, Railway Minister Ashwini ji confirmed that a survey for constructing a new 45 km railway line between Machilipatnam and Repalle has been sanctioned, emphasising its strategic importance and enhanced connectivity to the Machilipatnam port. He also announced that surveys have been approved for preparing DPRs for new lines between Machilipatnam and Narsapur, Repalle and Bapatla, Gudur and Vijayawada, as well as the Vijayawada bypass to strengthen regional connectivity.
