made a component that renders forms based on a zod schema - uses my own components - supports custom labels, placeholders, props, etc now I just create a zod schema, pass it to createForm() and get a fully functional form component. maybe worth making an npm package for this

This would have taken me forever without Claude AI I constantly get impressed by how far I can take concepts I had in my head to a functional component in a couple of hours. Normally, I'd spend just that amount of time designing in Figma. Now, I completely skip Figma and go straight to code. Designing in code is back and I love every minute of it.

Alrighty, the time has come to give away frostin-ui components for free Here's + I had originally hoped to build a product around these components, but i moved to new york and got too busy with elevenlabs and now they've just been sitting dormant on my local I'll be releasing sandboxes showcasing each component Some of the components are still a bit raw so don't expect a fully fleshed out library, but there's a lot of useful abstractions in here that i've carried with me from project to project for years Sandbox in 🧵👇

We (Claude and I) made a new package: voxmlx It's an MLX implementation of Mistral's Voxtral mini realtime speech recognition model. It supports streaming audio and runs pretty fast on a laptop. To use it, simply: `uvx voxmlx` Also I did not write a single line of code for this package. Every line of code was written by Claude Code. More on that in thread.

I used a similar technique recently to reverse engineer the beautiful tabs in OpenAI ‘s Atlas browser. Took a screen recording, had an agent describe the design, the tab metrics, the easing curves etc. Had Codex do one pass and have Claude critique it, and got this highly responsive, pretty well structured macOS component out of it

I made a dumb mistake with my water shader🤦🏻‍♂️ The wave evolution equation has two parts: a standing wave component and a traveling wave component. When I was first getting this all to work, I hard-coded constants so the waves were always traveling forward at full speed. By adding a "standing wave ratio" where I can control the ratio between the two terms, I can now achieve wave patterns that oscillate in place. The video on the left has SWR = 0 and the video on the right SWR = 0.7 (I exaggerated the waves a bit to make the difference more noticeable). Now I have to re-record all my marketing videos...😭

We were never fully satisfied with the animated components available outside. Some looked good but were hard to customize. Some were easy to use but felt too basic. So 2 months ago, we started building our own. It started as a Framer component library. Then we expanded it to Next.js and MCP, so people can use it with code and AI builders too. Now we’re finally launching the beta on July 2, 11 AM IST. Only for the first 500 users. If you’re building animated websites, this will save you a lot of time. And I think you’re going to love this.

I built a tiny icon-morphing component with AlpineJS + Blade! You literally just pass in two SVGs and it handles the morphing for you. Could be on hover or whatever other trigger/event is needed Super simple to use, but it makes interactions feel so much more polished.

The Figma glass teaser and launch videos were made entirely with a series of screen recordings using with CleanShot for mac. For the teaser, I took the UI component, masked it and just resized and moved the mask around the screen in tandem with the glass frame. Noah Levin suggested we tease the light direction icon. It took a few tries to get just right, and in one take. 😅

This is a new kind of social media - one that incentivizes creation and sharing, not simply just consumption. Social is a crucial component to creativity: seeing others' creations inspires your own. Eventually I expect we will the emergence of something like Github for media creation, where people can have version control, build on others' work, and iterate on art masterpieces they are proud of. Remixing is the core feature, native to Sora, that makes this social experience possible. The Sora team really cooked on making it super easy to riff on other's ideas! Truly a "Greatness Cannot Be Planned" (h/t Kenneth Stanley Joel Lehman ) phenomenon, but at global scale. Here is a fun video I made of Eric Mintun riding a wiener dog 😀 and a remix I made by giving the dog a pink coat with polka dots and a chicken head (h/t Ruben Villegas )
